Interesting article in "Promo Magazine by Peter Meyers" today regarding how the young prefer mail, yes they said direct mail not email for information. They defined young from 18-34 years old and listed privacy for the main reason.

The other surprise was that this age group preferred direct mail more strongly than the other groups surveyed.

This group could be tired since they have been using the Internet and email longer than most, which could explain for their strong preference to receive product/service information via direct mail instead.

What I took away was to review how customers want to receive information, it might surprise you and to keep checking since it could change.

The other articles I have read recently are also warning us to be careful with phone text messages- I agree since it feels like the old days of receiving promotional faxes at your expense (your paper, ink, etc.).

Courtesy is still in style!
