Those that haven't been tracking can start with their existing base for referrals and expand with past and current customers.  &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Take advantage of this tighter economy to scrutinize what you are doing in marketing and how it performs, research new techniques and test drive them since you may be able to take some time to implement these yourself directly so when the economy picks up you will have new marketing tools ready to go and be better organized in your promotional efforts with evaluations.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Make sure you can validate why your services or product fit the audience today, several marketing messages must be adjusted during tighter times and reductions need to be found.  For example with my marketing services I can coach more and provide the critical points while the clients can take on more of the administrative/management portion of the work to save funds, we can  evaluate suppliers, materials,  and rank marketing efforts by results with our extensive experience to assist customers with choosing what will work best for them.
